設計事務所様から、図面をいただく必要があった時にCAD Vectorworksの
バージョン違いあることに気がつきました。
いずれのアプリケーションでも上位互換下位互換と言う問題がありますので調べてみました。
一般に新しいバージョンでは古いバージョンの物はある程度読めますが、
その逆の古いバージョンで新しいものは読めないと思っています。
自分が使っているのは2010のネットワーク版ですから書き出せるのがv12までとなります。
いただいたファイルの拡張子が「.mcd」でした。
ということはminicadと言う事になります。
バージョンが違い過ぎて開くことが出来ないかもしれないと心配しましたが、
気を使いすぎて「コントロールクリック」で「このアプリケーションで開く」では
エラーになりましたが、普通にダブルクリックで開くことができました。

Vectorworksではご利用のバージョンごとに下位3〜5バージョン形式までのファイル取り出しが可能となっております。
「ファイルメニュー」-「取り出す」から必要なVectorworksバージョンの項目を選択して保存を行ってください。
